The Wood Shop
Almost every city or town, at sometime, had a wood shop to build and repair the town's furniture. These earlier businesses were usually passed on from generation to generation. In the process many repairs were usually needed as the years went by. As you can see , by the recent photos, the newest owner is adding a new addition onto the old shop as well as installing some new equipment.
The raw wood material, for this shop, arrives either by rail or by truck. It is unloaded on one side of the building and after the construction of the furniture is completed the new product is shipped out from the loading dock on the opposite side of the building.

The wood shop has clapboard siding, real cedar wood roof shingles and comes with all the details you see in the photos. The foot print for this building is 13 x 13 inches.
